“Travelling into your Bookshelf” is Movana Chen's touring project since 2009 that creates dialogues around memories of books donated by people from all over the world. It is an ongoing project that aims not have any limits in terms of location or format. Through meeting with strangers and reading their books, she attempt to establish relationships with them and learn about their cultures by exploring their memories and maintaining a two-way communication. Through her knitting process with the participants, she hopes to create a new way of reading and let the viewers re-examine the communication barriers between people nowadays.
